CQ WPX contest začne už o pár dní, no niektorí contestmani plánujú účasť v ňom aj mesiace či roky vopred. Na rozdiel od CQ WW contest-u je však WPX bohatý na násobiče aj v Európe. Preto sa expedície zameriavajú na lokality, v ktorých je menšia contestová činnosť. Príkladom sú: 3A/IK1TTD z Monaka, 9H/TA1HZ z Malty , GT0SP z ostrova Man či IH9YMC from Pantelleria, which is part of Italy, but geographically it is considered part of Africa. These are not typical DX stations for us as the distance is relatively short, but such DX stations will definitely be in demand in the contest log.
Among the DX stations that announce their participation, we can count HD1A z Ekvádoru, D60AB z Komorských ostrovov, PJ4R z Bonaire, PJ5/SP9FIH Saba & St Eustatius a ďalšie. CQ WPX contest it always brings a lot of nice DX stations.
But the fact that the organizer decided not to accept connections with Russian, Belarusian and Donbas stations (and moreover, Ukrainian stations do not have the possibility of broadcasting).
