Youth Field Day is one of VHF events organized by the Slovak Amateur Radio Association. The competition is intended primarily for young operators and represents an ideal opportunity to gain first experience with contest operation on the VHF bands.
The aim of the event is to support work with youth, motivate novice radio amateurs to actively operate and allow them to compare their skills with peers from all over Slovakia and abroad. Invitation for radio clubs and youth leaders
Youth Field Day is a good opportunity to involve new operators in real-life operations. Young radio amateurs can try out station operation, journaling, band orientation and the basics of contest strategy. For radio clubs, it is an excellent opportunity to introduce the practical side of amateur radio to the younger generation.
Even a simple VHF station with a single directional antenna can bring a lot of interesting connections and valuable experience during the competition.
