ARISS 20 years of operation from the ISS

International Space Station, ISS, spoke to a radio amateur from space twenty years ago. On the occasion of this anniversary, a series of events is held, when various broadcasts are broadcast from the ISS in the 145 MHz band SSTV pictures. Broadcasting is on a frequency of 145.800 MHz, SSTV mode PD120. However, two-way connections will not be established, stations on Earth will only be able to receive SSTV images from the ISS.

Next ISS SSTV event

The next series is scheduled from 24 December 2020 16:40 UTC to 31 December 2020 18:15 UTC. You do not need sophisticated equipment for reception, you can also use a hand-held FM station. The received audio signal can be decoded with the MMSSTV program or through one of the applications on a tablet or smartphone.

Each flight over our territory lasts a few minutes. It changes at that time doppler frequency shift, both azimuth and elevation. ISS flybys can be calculated with some tracking program.
