V poslednom čísle CQ magazine, the results of CQ WW VHF 2003 were published. A total of 296 stations from 22 countries were evaluated. 9475 different stations from 797 major LOCs appeared in the logs. The race is evaluated in individual categories, in individual countries and regions in the USA, overall for the USA and overall for the rest of the world.
The best scores in the world were achieved by:
-
SO-All – DL2OM, OK1CZ finished in 5th place
-
SO-6m – TA2RC/P
-
SO-2m – DK5DQ
-
MO-All – OK2KJT won before YM0KA and OK1KIM
In the national ranking in OK, they won:
-
SO-All – OK1CZ before OK1SRD
-
MO-All – OK2KJT before OK1KIM
Although several stations from OM ran the race, only one station sent the results:
-
SO-6m – OM5CW
It's a shame because during CQ WW VHF was running in OK and OM operating assets and all you had to do was send the journal.
It is interesting that the most connections on 2 m were not made by stations from Europe or the USA, but from Thailand - for example, HS4NLW established 514 QSO na 2 m!
This year's CQ WW VHF takes place on Saturday July 17th from 18:00 UTC to Sunday July 18th until 21:00 UTC. On Sunday, there is operational active again in OK and OM, so stations that go PA can also send a log to CQ WW VHF. It is enough to rewrite the logs (manually or for example in N6TR). Only time, mark and large LOC (first 4 characters from LOC) are shown, no report or connection number.
All connections other than converters can be included in the plant. Just choose one of the categories: SO-All, SO-6m, SO-2m, Rover, MO, QRP a nová kategória QRP Portable Limited (limitovaná iba 6 hodinami prevádzky).
