European HF Championship (EUHFC) je každoročný KV contest organised by the Slovenian Contest Club (SCC) with the aim of European radio amateurs competing against each other for the title of "European HF Champion". The final results of the EUHFC history are available at euhf.s5cc.eu/records/ - the records are valid since 1999, when the scoring system rules were last changed. Rule changes for 2026
Dňa 2. júla 2026 vydal EUHFC contest Committee dôležité upozornenie o aktualizácii pravidiel. Kľúčové zmeny sa týkajú dvoch oblastí: pravidiel pre self-spotting a požiadavky na ľudského operátora. Obe zmeny sú označené ako NEW v aktualizovaných pravidlách zo 30. júna 2026.
Self-spotting is explicitly allowed in all categories from 2026, but the conditions are also tightened: self-spotting is defined as entering your own callsign and/or working frequency into any public QSO notification system. Using someone else's callsign or account for self-spotting is prohibited. The new rule also explicitly prohibits systematically flooding the spotting networks with excessive self-spotting - as a guideline, continuous self-spotting significantly more often than once every 10 minutes on an unchanged frequency can lead to a percentage deduction from the score or disqualification.
The new human operator requirement states that changing the receive or transmit frequency, calling a partner, and recording a QSO must be manually initiated by a human operator. Autonomous systems and robots are strictly prohibited.
Competition goal
Cieľom European HF Championship je umožniť európskym rádioamatérom navzájom sa kontaktovať a súperiť o titul európskeho šampióna in rôznych výkonových a módových kategóriách. Do hodnotenia vstupujú výlučne spojenia s continentálnou Európou podľa aktuálneho zoznamu krajín CQWW.

Date and time
Bands
contest prebieha na všetkých HF amatérskych pásmach od 160 m po 10 m s výnimkou WARC pásiem (30 m, 17 m, 12 m). Pre každé pásmo platí IARU frekvenčný plán a podmienky národnej licencie.
Categories
Participants compete in one of eight categories. In all categories, only one operator is allowed to operate. Power limits, band and mode changes, and other conditions vary by category.

The SINGLE-OP-UNLIMITED category is subject to the same rules as the High Power categories (No. 1, 3, 5), with the difference that there is no limit on the number of band and mode changes. A condition for competitors applying for a place in the Top 5 is a mandatory audio recording of the entire contest. The QRP category is subject to the same rules as category No. 2 (Mixed LP), with a power limit of 5 W and a maximum of 10 band and mode changes per hour.
Contest exchange
On SSB: RS report. On CW: RST report. Both variants are supplemented by the two-digit year of the first issue of the operator's official amateur license - regardless of which station the operator is broadcasting from or what call sign he uses. For example, 59 82 means that the first license was issued in 1982; 17 means the year 2017. An official SWL license also counts as a first amateur license. The exchange is the same for personal, club, special event and contest call signs - the year of the operator's first license is always transmitted, not the station owner's.
Multipliers
Multipliers are different two-digit numbers, specifically the last two digits of the year of the opposing station's first official amateur license. Each unique two-digit multiplier is counted once per band, regardless of mode.
Points for QSOs
Each valid completed contact is worth 1 point regardless of mode. The same station can be contacted once per band and once per mode - that is, the same station can be in the log multiple times if it was once on CW and once on SSB on the same band.
Total score
The final score is the product of the total number of QSO points and the total number of multipliers collected on all bands.
Rules for changing band and mode
For all categories except SINGLE-OP-UNLIMITED, there is a limit on the number of band and mode changes per hour (00–59 minutes). For mixed-mode categories (No. 1, 2, 8) a maximum of 10 band and mode changes per hour are allowed, with simultaneous band and mode changes counting as one change. For single-mode categories (No. 3, 4, 5, 6) a maximum of 10 band changes per hour are allowed. Important: a band or mode change within two hours counts as the first change in the following hour. For each change over the limit of ten, both QSO points and multipliers for the given QSO in the relevant hour are deducted.
DXCC list
In addition to the main ranking, the organizer will publish a separate list of scores by DXCC entity - this is the sum of all valid scores from a given country, regardless of club affiliation. The basis is the current ARRL DXCC Current Entities list.
Plaques and diplomas
Plakety budú udelené európskym šampiónom v kategóriách podľa sponzorstva. Podmienkou na plaketu je zaznamenanie presných pracovných frekvencií v Cabrillo logu – len logy s presnými frekvenciami sú oprávnené na získanie plakety. Ak nie je dostupné CAT riadenie, odporúča sa zadať generickú frekvenciu Bands (napr. 1800, 3500, 7000) a nepoužívať umelé frekvencie v rámci Bands. Logy odoslané po termíne môžu byť zaradené do výsledkov, ale nie sú oprávnené na plaketu. Elektronické certifikáty budú dostupné na stiahnutie pre všetkých, ktorí odošlú log.
Evaluation
Za kontrolu a hodnotenie prihlásených logov zodpovedá EUHFC contest Committee. Logy sú kontrolované špecializovaným softvérom aj ľudským posúdením. Od pretekárov sa očakáva dodržiavanie pravidiel a najlepších amatérskych postupov. Porušenie pravidiel alebo nesportové správanie môže viesť k disciplinárnemu opatreniu komisie.
Penalties
For illegible call signs, incorrect exchanges, QSOs that do not appear in the opposing station's log, and similar irregularities, QSO points are deducted, and one additional QSO point is added for each error. A high proportion of incorrect contacts or violation of the contest rules may lead to disqualification from the evaluation. Competitors disqualified in other contests in the previous year may also be disqualified from the evaluation.
Disqualification
Dôvodom na diskvalifikáciu je porušenie pravidiel contestu, nešportové správanie alebo príliš vysoký podiel neoveriteľných QSO. Príklady nešportového správania zahŕňajú: dohadovanie alebo potvrdzovanie spojení počas contestu alebo po ňom akýmikoľvek ne-rádioamatérskymi prostriedkami (telefón, internet, e-mail, sociálne siete), vysielanie na frekvenciách mimo limitu licencie, pozmenenie časových záznamov v logu, zahrnutie nadmerného počtu neoveriteľných QSO alebo násobičov, signály s nadmernou šírkou pásma (splatter, kliksy), vysielanie viac ako troch po sebe nasledujúcich QSO bez odoslania volacej Brands a systematické zahltenie spotovacích sietí nadmerným self-spottingom. Používanie falošných identít na manipuláciu spotovacích sietí vedie k diskvalifikácii. Diskvalifikovaný pretekár nebude zaradený do hodnotenia European HF Championship v nasledujúcom roku.
Supervision
The organizer reserves the right to use any publicly available technology and to assign various persons to control the operation of the stations during the contest.
Declaration
Odoslaním logu pretekár bezpodmienečne a neodvolateľne súhlasí s tým, že si prečítal a porozumel pravidlám a zaväzuje sa nimi riadiť, prevádzkoval stanicu in súlade so všetkými platnými predpismi, súhlasí s tým, že log a UBN report môžu byť zverejnené, a akceptuje, že rozhodnutia komisie sú záväzné a konečné.
Submit a log
Logy sa odovzdávajú výlučne elektronicky vo formáte Cabrillo cez webový formulár na adrese log.s5cc.eu. Iné spôsoby odovzdania nie sú akceptované. Termín odovzdania je do 48 hodín po skončení contestu, teda do pondelka 23:59 UTC. Log musí obsahovať pre každé QSO Date and time v UTC, frekvenciu (alebo pásmo), volací znak protistanice, odoslanú a prijatú výmenu. Log bez všetkých povinných údajov môže byť preradený do Checklogu. Pre súťaž o plaketu musia byť v logu presné frekvencie. Pretekár môže odobraný log z akéhokoľvek dôvodu stiahnuť do 30 dní od termínu odovzdania. European HF Championship 2026 sa koná 1. augusta 2026 od 12:00 do 24:00 UTC na všetkých HF pásmach okrem WARC. Kľúčovou novinkou oproti predchádzajúcim ročníkom je výslovná úprava pravidiel pre self-spotting a zavedenie povinnosti ľudského operátora pri zmene frekvencie, volaní a logovaní. Contest exchange je dvojciferný rok prvej amatérskej licencie operátora – nie rok vydania aktuálnej licencie ani rok licencie stanice. Násobiče sú jedinečné dvojciferné hodnoty nazbierané raz na pásmo. Logy sa odovzdávajú vo formáte Cabrillo do 48 hodín po skončení contestu.
