Preamble
Until 1990, it was possible to obtain an OK concession only from the age of 18. However, it was possible to apply for a special permit for youths aged 15 to 19 and, with a little luck, get it - that is, to receive a mark starting with the prefix OL with a three-letter suffix. The allowed bands were 160 m, 2 m and 70 cm with a power of up to 10 W. To remember the time when we had a lot of fun while broadcasting and meeting each other, we decided to organize an OL Party for all ex-OL and other radio amateurs who have a positive relationship with OL, TOP band or funny operation.
The purpose of the race
We want to broadcast a little and find out which of our old acquaintances has which brand and if they are still broadcasting. It is not important to win, but to talk with acquaintances.
Date and time of the procedure
27/09/2003, 21:00Z – 23:00Z (2 hours)

Bands and types of operation
CW only.
- 160 m: 1850-1950 kHz (original OL band 1750-1950 kHz, limited according to current regulations and recommendations)
- 80 m: 3520-3560 kHz; for those who don't have a TOP band to enjoy themselves a little.
Non-binding recommendation: first hour 160 m, second 80 m (for those who do not fall asleep).
Categories
- A: Ex-OL – stations of individuals who were holders of a special youth permit (OL) in the past. Performance as possible (as it used to be). Participation is not limited to OK and OM stations, ex-OLs from all over the world are warmly welcome.
- B: Youth – stations whose operators have not yet reached 19 years of age.
- C: Others

Sold report
The stations transmit a report composed of RST and serial number QSO From 99 smerom nadol. Po dosiahnutí 00 sa začína opäť From 99. (Toto môže komplikovať použitie PC logu, ale tie sa v čase OL tiež bežne nepoužívali – skúste papier a ceruzku.)
- Category A stations also transmit their ex-OL brand.
- Category B stations transmit in addition the two-letter group "OK" or "OM".
Points
- QSO = 1 point
- Switching on the device (1x per race; so-called hard-working participant) = 3 points
- Sending a report (everyone can count, even those who don't have a device; the so-called sympathetic participant) = 5 points
Connection with stations that do not race and do not submit a code also applies - no one is forced to race.

Multipliers
Different OL brands in the received competition code and different category B ("OK/OM") stations on each band separately. Own OL mark is counted as a multiplier once per race.
Note: A total of up to 8 points can be earned even without one QSO! Only participants in category A get the one multiplier needed for a non-zero result and thus will be included in the results.
Firefighting and logs
The report must include:
- Brand used
- Competition category
- For participants of category A: former OL brand
- Number of QSOs on each band
- Number of points for turning on TRX (if the participant claims them; whoever makes at least one QSO has these points automatically)
- Number of multipliers on each band
- Total result: sum of points for both bands × sum of multipliers for both bands (optional, evaluated by the evaluator).
We recommend sending connection data in a readable text file (not binary data). It will be used to review and identify ex-OLs who do not submit a log.
Send reports and diaries via packet radio to Bevák (Jindra – ex OL4BEV) OK1FOU@OK0NAG.#BOH.CZE.EU or by e-mail to ok1fou@centrum.cz. They must be delivered within 31 days after the end of the race.
The race will be evaluated within one month from the closing date. The results will be published by e-mail and in the PR network.

Diplomas, medals, souvenirs
The absolute winner of the OL Party and the winners of the categories will receive a colored diploma (A4) with the designation of the winning category.
If sponsors are found, valuable prizes are possible (e.g. GU50 lamps). Other sponsors should contact Pavel OK1DX – ex OL3AXS via PR.
Other participants will receive a reminder QSL via QSL service with category and location indicated. On the QSL there will be a conversion table between current and ex-OL participants' marks, obtained from logs and reports.
The result will be shown as follows: the position from the end of the starting field in your category - it is more gratifying to read how many stations you have beaten than how many were in front of you.
In conclusion
Dust off the TOP band RIG, get the bugs out of it and stretch a piece of wire out of the window to QRV us as much as possible! Ex-OLs are requested to spread this message to their peers.
For the organizers: Pavel OK1DX (ex OL3AXS), Jindra OK1FOU
