April's sixth stage of the Operating Asset VHF 2004 brought another portion of exciting shortwave competition, where VHF operation enthusiasts from various parts of Slovakia and abroad met. The SO-144 category was extremely balanced from the start - OM3CQF with the JN88RT locator was able to use every connection and every multiplier to get the 118 QSO, with 397 points and 25 multipliers, he took first place with a final score of 9925 points. Close behind him were OM4TC and OM4ADR, who showed that even a difference of a few points does not mean a loss of tension in the fight for medals.

The SO-432 category was dominated by OM5CM from JN98DF, which collected 59 points and 8 multipliers, while the second OM5UM did not give up and maintained a high performance. SO-1296 brought brief but dramatic moments where OM5CM once again demonstrated its precision and OM5UM fought to the last connection.
The situation was different on the MO bands - MO-144 and MO-432 clearly belonged to OM3KEG from JN98CR, which demonstrated stable performance and efficiency even with a lower number of QSOs. Categories MO-1296, MO-5760 and MO-10368 remained without participation, showing the dominance of lower bands and the localization of competitors.
The results of the April stage once again prove that VHF operation is a discipline combining technique, strategy and perseverance. Every point counts, every multiplier can decide, and only the one who can combine precision, patience and the ability to respond effectively to current conditions deserves victory.
