"A large number of luminous points, known as shooting stars, crossed the sky": these are the words Antonio Brucalassi from Italy described the Quadrantid meteor shower on the morning of January 2, 1825. Many years have passed since then, and today we can use meteor showers for VHF communications. Even for a non-participant, it can be an experience to watch the night sky with falling meteors.
It is a very dense meteor shower with a relatively short maximum. The number of bounces is very high (80-110 bounces/hour). This year, the maximum is predicted for tonight, i.e. from January 3 to 4. Good luck and nice connections!
