The Strojetice 2026 Amateur Radio Meeting invites you to the 33rd annual meeting in Podbořany
The second Saturday in September traditionally belongs to one of the most popular informal meetings of Czech radio amateurs. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the 33rd meeting of radio amateurs in the Podbořansko region will take place, organized by Zdeněk Říha, OK1AR. The venue will once again be the TOM restaurant in the village of Strojetice (locator JO60RE), where radio amateurs from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and surrounding countries regularly meet not only for lectures, but above all for personal meetings and exchange of experiences.
Meeting date and place
The meeting is scheduled to start at 09:00. The organizer has published the exact GPS coordinates of the venue and the reserved parking lot. Parking directly at the restaurant will be left for regular visitors, while radio amateurs will park in the traditional parking lot on concrete panels near the OK7AR antenna system. Entrance directly to the restaurant will be allowed only to the organizational team and participants with limited mobility.

Meeting agenda
The main technical point of the program will be two presentations by Zdeněk OK3RM dedicated to important DX expeditions. The first lecture, scheduled from 10:30, will introduce the expedition T8OKAfter a short break, a second presentation will follow, dedicated to the expedition. PJ7KAfter the program ends, the organizers plan to take a group photo of all participants in front of the restaurant.
However, the most important part of the meeting remains the personal meeting of radio amateurs. As OK1AR states in its invitation, the opportunity to talk to friends outside the radio connection is one of the main reasons why participants return to Strojetice every year. QSL service
This year too, the import of QSL cards will be ensured through the Czech Radio Club. Interested parties must notify their request no later than September 4, 2026 to the e-mail addresses provided. The organizers point out that personal collection of QSL shipments saves the Czech Radio Club costs for packaging and postage. QSLs intended for sending should be placed on a prepared table by approximately 10:30, while imported shipments can be picked up around noon.
Tip for activators of the Lookout Towers program
Participants who are involved in the Lookout Towers (OKR) program can combine their visit to the meeting with the activation of one of the lookout towers in the vicinity of Strojetice. The organizer recommends, for example, Tobiášov vrch (OKR-1037), Kryry (OKR-1132), Rubín (OKR-1149), Krásny Dvůr (OKR-1131) or Vochlická lookout tower (OKR-1121), which are located approximately 5 to 17 kilometers from the venue.
