Traditional SWL New Year contest 2017 opened the new year for amateur radio (SWL) listeners and provided an opportunity to test the receiving equipment and skills of participants in a fast-paced competition. The race was held at the turn of the year and listeners from several European countries took part in it.
He dominated the competition Anton Mandos (ONL908), who ensured his excellent activity and accuracy of entries first place with a score of 294 points. He finished in second place Johan Heus (NL9723) Sat 211 points, while there was a significant point difference between the first and second rungs. He took the third place Marc Stinkens (ONL4638) Sat 161 points, closely followed by Kees Schout (NL294), which he obtained 154 points.
Listeners from the Czech Republic also placed in the top ten, which confirms the international character of this traditional New Year's competition.
