Results of the 5th stage of SLP 2012

The last weekend of June, 23 and 24 June 2012, was the fifth round of the SLP Competition 2012. This stage was an important milestone as the competition moved into its second half. For many participants, it was a key opportunity to improve their scores before the flight, while others tried to catch up.

The fifth stage had a clear winner. With an absolutely dominant performance, it was dominated by Jan NL997, who achieved a phenomenal score of 36,300 points. With this result, he did not give the competition any chance.

His namesake Jan NL6828 took second place with a considerable distance, who scored 6,080 points. The third place in this stage belongs to Johan NL9723 with a gain of 2,665 points.

A total of eight contributed to the scoring in the fifth round SWL listeners. Fourth place was taken by Ad NL9745 (1,870 points), followed by Marc ONL4638 from Belgium (1,715 points). Sixth place went to Davor 9A4KJ (1,508 points). The order of this stage is closed by Helmut DE2HUG with 888 points and Carla NL13601 with 322 points.

Current order after the 5th stage

The results of this round significantly mixed the cards at the head of the overall ranking of SLP Competition 2012. The dominant performance catapulted Jan NL997 to first place in the running order with a total of 132,466 points. Although Jan missed the first stage, he has been dominating the competition ever since.

He pushed the current leader R3A-847, who has 131,566 points, to second place. However, R3A-847 did not score in the fifth or fourth stage, which ultimately cost him a narrow lead. Likewise, OM3-0001, which is currently third with 71,872 points, did not score points in the last two rounds.

On the contrary, Jan NL6828, who scored points in all five stages and currently holds the fifth place (59,814 points), gives a consistent performance. Equally active are Johan NL9723 and Carla NL13601, who also did not miss a single round, which proves their great endurance.

Congratulations to the winners of the 5th stage. The competition still has three rounds (SLP6, SLP7 and SLP8) and the fight for the final position remains open. We will see if R3A-847 and OM3-0001 can close the lead of Jan in the following stages.
