Result sheet SLP 4/2011

The fourth round of the prestigious SLP (Shortwave Listening) Competition 2011, which took place during the second weekend of May (May 7-8, 2011), brought an interesting battle dominated by the representatives of the Netherlands. This round turned out to be the key to shuffling the running order and showed that steady activity and tenacity pays off.

The absolute winner of SLP 4/2011 was Jan NL997 with a clear lead, who recorded an impressive score of 30,392 points. With this victory, he significantly strengthened his position in the overall ranking. The second place also goes to the Netherlands thanks to the great performance of Jan NL6828, who scored 10,335 points.

The bronze rank and the title of the best Slovak representative was defended by Jozef OM3-0001, who collected 8,092 points. His persistence and stable participation in every round so far makes him one of the aspirants for the top ranks in the entire competition. Dutch dominance in the top six was also confirmed by Sjuk NL6904 and Johan NL9723.

Shuffle in running order

Thanks to the May round, there have been significant changes in the overall interim ranking of SLP Competition 2011. Vladimir R3A-847 remains in the lead with 91,602 points, but it is hot behind him. Jan NL997 catapulted to second place with 61,142 points thanks to two strong results. The battle for the third position is even closer: Jozef OM3-0001 with 54,343 points is just ahead of Bill W1-7897, who has 54,290 points.
