RSGB IOTA contest sa koná 25. a 26. júla 2026 od 1200 UTC do 1200 UTC – teda 24 hodín na pásmach 80, 40, 20, 15 a 10 m v módoch CW a SSB. Pre operátorov zo Slovenska a Česka je to jedna z mála príležitostí v roku, keď každé QSO with an island station will bring 15 points directly to the score. The number of announced DX expeditions and island activations speaks for itself: as of July 24, 2026, more than 60 stations from all over the world have been announced.
9A/OM6NM – Slovak operator from the Croatian islands
For CQ.SK readers, the participation of Nora OM6NM is particularly interesting, who will be broadcasting from the Croatian island in the IOTA Contest 2026 under the callsign 9A/OM6NM. The operation will be from the island of Malé Srakane (IOTA EU-136) as a DXpedition in the SO (Single Operator) category, Mixed-mode, 24 hours with High power output. QSL via OM2FY. For Slovak operators, this is a pleasant "home" callsign in the pill - and at the same time a valid island multiplier EU-136 on every band.
