It's hard for me to write after the previous one sad news….
But to add info to SuitSatu-1. In the course of Sunday, additional information came out that SuitSat-1 is operational. The problem is that the suit rotates, so the antenna is not permanently pointed at the ground. The signals are characterized by a very strong leakage, nevertheless, a few radio amateurs managed to capture at least parts of the broadcast session - the tag, telemetry and parts SSTV. Other theories say that there is probably a problem either in the performance of the transceiver or in the connection between the transceiver and the antenna. Only radio amateurs with directional antennas and preamplifiers on the mast have a chance to catch the signal. My last observations tonight at about 3:00 AM and about 4:45 AM local time were negative (RingoRanger + FT847 vertical antenna).
Audibility reports can be sent to the mentioned page www.suitsat.org. There you will also find the last recorded reports, even links to recordings of parts of the shows. It is very important not to broadcast on the frequency of 145.990 MHz. I have personally encountered several times that I heard music from Windows. 🙁
Finally, the current Kepler (be careful, the position changes every moment) – SuitSat-1 moves away from the ISS about 6 km in 90 minutes.
