Evaluation of the SNP race 2006

This one race 38 stations participated, 28 from Slovakia and 10 from Bohemia and Moravia. Two listeners (category P) from Slovakia and 1 from the Czech Republic. Another 43 brands appeared in the diaries, several of which could have placed quite nicely if they had been sent a diary from the race. They could also help other participants to win the SNP Trophy. It is a great pity when a person does not evaluate his efforts. Jozef OK2KJ, due to various difficulties, made only one connection and still sent the log. When five seventy-year-olds and three boys from 12 to 18 years old can send a diary, it can really put to shame the 43 radio amateurs who didn't send a diary. If for some serious reason you cannot send the journal on time, send it a few days later with a short excuse. HI.

The oldest participant was 77 years old and the youngest was 12 years old.

We didn't have many stations broadcasting from the field this year either QTH, although the intention of this race is to have the largest possible participation of competitors broadcasting in field conditions. Lightweight portable devices and simple antennas can be used in this group. Castles can also be easily activated from a field position.

The propagation conditions were very bad this year, especially in northern Slovakia, where we heard only a few stations in the first hour of the race and made even fewer of them. On the other hand, the Polish stations in their home race went to tear our headphones. Šaňo Vladár OM3SV did the hard work with the evaluation, for which he deserves thanks from the rest of us big or small club fans.

All participants of the SNP race will receive the SNP 2006 Diploma and the winners of individual categories will also receive the SNP 2006 Trophy, provided that there were at least three participants in the given category.

Along with the diploma and evaluation, we also send all participants sample diaries, cover pages, and a sample written diary, so everyone can send a perfect diary that can be easily evaluated.

We cordially invite you all to the next SNP race 2007, which will be on the third Sunday of August, whether you go from home or bravely somewhere from a mountain or field station.

The OM3TY sled designed and built a small portable QRP a transceiver that is ideally suited for this race and gave it the name SNPáčik.
