Zagreb Radio Fest 2026

The Zagreb Amateur Radio Union (ZARS) is organizing the 28th edition of the Zagreb Radio Fest on September 11 and 12, 2026. It is one of the most significant amateur radio events in the region, traditionally combining a technology exhibition, a second-hand equipment fair, and a professional program of lectures under one roof by Lake Jarun in Zagreb.

Information for the meeting

The event will take place at the Dom tehnike venue on Jarun in Zagreb. Friday, September 11 is reserved for the arrival of exhibitors and setting up booths (from 8:00), and in the evening (from 17:00) an informal meeting for representatives of national associations, exhibitors, and fair guests is planned. The fair itself opens to the public on Saturday, September 12 at 8:00, after which the traditional second-hand amateur radio equipment fair (buvljak) will start at 7:00.

Table reservations for the fair are made by paying 10 EUR to the ZARS account (IBAN: HR1123600001101394529, with the note 'ZRF buvljak'), and cash payments on site are not possible. The deadline for receiving payments for reservations is no later than September 4, 2026. Along with the payment confirmation, it is necessary to send the OIB (Croatian tax identification number), address, and vehicle registration number. All exhibitors at the fair will be allowed to drive directly into the fairgrounds.

Parking is available at the Jarun Zapad parking lot, public transport (bus line 113) is also available – on the day of the event, it is recommended to check for any changes in the timetables. The organization of the event is managed by seven Zagreb clubs: Hrvatski DX klub, RK Tehničar, RK Zagreb, RK Dubrava, RK Veza, RK Hrvatska Flora i Fauna and RK FER. According to the words of the president of ZARS, Zdenko Blažičević, 9A2HI, despite many challenges over the years, it has been possible, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of the Zagreb clubs, to maintain the quality and reputation of the association andto organize another edition of the event.

Meeting program

The program on Saturday, September 12, 2026 is as follows:

Lecture about the program DXLog má tento rok osobitný, spomienkový rozmer. Samotný program totiž vytvoril Krešimir Kovarik, 9A5K – uznávaný rádioamatér a vynikajúci contestový operátor, who unfortunately passed away prematurely. The presentation of his work is part of this year's program as a reminder of his contribution to the Croatian and international VHF contest community.

The program also includes the LEM ZA STEM construction workshop focused on soldering for children and youth. Among the exhibitors of this year are companies ELZAS d.o.o., 9A5N Unmanned Systems in Crisis Situations (BSKS), the city Office for Local Self-Government, Transport, Civil Protection and Safety, Retro info, S5TEHNIKA.net d.o.o. and Szilicium graphics - a representative of the latter company, Laszlo, will be personally present at the fair and interested parties can arrange in advance with him to bring specific goods. From amateur radio associations,events are attended by the Croatian Amateur Radio Association, the Zagreb Amateur Radio Association, the Community of Radio Amateurs of Herzeg Bosnia, the Association of Radio Amateurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Union of Radio Amateurs of Slovenia.

The event traditionally connects demonstrations of technical achievements in the field of amateur radio, lectures and presentations with a used equipment fair, where visitors can find necessary equipment or sell their own.

Zagreb Radio Fest 2026 will again offer a combination of the professional and social aspects of the amateur radio hobby – from lectures on cybersecurity and software for VHF contests to the traditional fair and meeting of portable operators.
