Palestine and hamradio
Amateur radio in Palestine has a relatively young but interesting history. Despite the difficult political situation and limited technical possibilities, even in this region there are enthusiasts dedicated to the spread of wireless communication and international understanding through the airwaves. Palestinian radio amateur stations are designated by the prefix E4, which the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) officially assigned to the Palestinian Authority in 1999.

The first active station was E4A, which was established by a team of foreign radio amateurs in cooperation with local enthusiasts to show the world that even from Palestine it is possible to make DX connections. Since then, several other stations have appeared from the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Each of them met with great interest from the DX community, because the broadcasts from Palestine are among the so-called "rare entities" according to DXCC list.
Palestinian radio amateurs, united in the organization Palestinian Wireless Group (PWG), focus on educating young people, promoting technical knowledge and building peace dialogue through radio. Their goal is for amateur radio to become a symbol of cooperation and communication without borders.
Although they face various obstacles - from technical to administrative - radio amateurs in Palestine prove that the spirit of connection and friendship knows no political barriers or conflicts.
