The third round of the 2009 Short Listening Period (SLP) series of competitions took place during the weekend of March 28-29, 2009. It produced very interesting results and confirmed the high level of international participation. He took the first place with a significant lead Vladimir Ignatov (R3A-847) from Russia, who reached 60282 points. The second place belongs to to Jozef Marcincák (OM3-0001) from Slovakia with 18900 points, who thus confirmed his long-term work among the best SWL operators in the region. He took the third place Bill Smith (W1-7897) from the US with a profit 9396 points.

They follow closely behind Hans Lambregts (NL7403), Paul Lemeire (ONL3058), Johan Heus (NL9723) a Eelco Verkaik (NL10133), who confirmed the strong position of Dutch and Belgian listeners in this category.
After publication of the running order SLP Competition 2009 maintains its leading position Vladimir Ignatov R3A-847 with the sum 72,216 points, followed by By Bill Smith W1-7897 a Jozef Marcincák OM3-0001. The third round thus indicated an interesting development of the competition and a tense ranking, which will continue in the following stages of 2009.
