WSJT in version 5.9.5 (r236), which was released on August 3, brings several substantial improvements in JT65 mod and minor improvements in other mods:
- changes in the JT65 depth decoder brought a slight improvement in sensitivity. Much more important is that the number of erroneous results has been reduced and decoding is three times faster
- menu setting in JT65 mode has been improved
- at the end of the line, the user receives two-digit information about the success or failure of the decoders. The first number is 1 if the Koetter-Vardy decoder is successful and the second number is from 0 to 10 according to the quality of processing in deep decoding
- AFC in JT65 mode was completely rewritten, which significantly improved decoding even in the 1296 MHz band
- the JT65C mode used mainly in the 1296 MHz band has been significantly improved
- compilation for Linux and FreeBSD allows keying via parallel, not just serial port
- audio files are stored correctly on Linux and FreeBSD
- added support for long tags (up to 12 characters, e.g. VU4AN/VU3RYF, etc.)
- if the Grid box in the main window is not checked, the displayed Doppler frequency shift and df/dt values are from self-reflections
- if the ToRadio field is blank, audio files start with the letters Mon_,. no _
- the noise suppression function On is automatically turned off if Freeze is set to ON
- Freeze function bug removed. When activating Zap in another mode and then switching to FSK441 mode, the Zap function did not work correctly
- improved JT6M sync processing function within the Tol range
- if mouse decoding was used, audio files were saved even though saving was disabled. This bug has been fixed.
- set correctly when running version 5.9.5 for the first time PTT port in the Setup/Otions page. On Linux and FreeBSD you need to set the correct device, for example /dev/ttyS0
