Competitive categories
- 144 MHz SO
- 144 MHz MO
SA (SINGLE OP) – a station manned by an individual without any outside help during the race. External assistance during the race means own operation of the broadcasting and receiving equipment, routing of antennas, keeping a diary and an overview of the stations that were worked with, operation of equipment for accessing the PR network or the Internet.
MO (MULTI OP) – other stations.
Types of operation
CW and phone according to the permit conditions, while it is necessary to follow the recommendations of the First Region IARU for various types of operation in frequency sections of amateur radio bands.
Additional conditions
-

Czech flag QTH any.
- All station equipment must be placed on an area with a maximum diameter of 500 meters. The location of the station must not be changed during the race.
- The use of a remote receiver or transmitter is not allowed.
- Each station may only have one signal at a time, while the signals needed to connect to the packet radio network are not considered.
- More than one station may broadcast from one station, it depends on the agreement between them.
- The power of the final stage of the transmitter or the sum of the powers of the final stages may be a maximum of 10 watts.
- Connections EME, cross-band and through terrestrial or space transmitters are not included in the race.
- Only one valid connection can be counted with each station, in which the complete competition code was transmitted and confirmed by both stations.
- Repeated connections must be marked in the log (RPT, DUPE, etc.) with a point value of 0 (zero).
- Connections with stations that change their QTH during the race, e.g. Rover (/R), are not counted in scored connections and have a value of 0 (zero).
- Použitie DX Clusteru, chatu, mobilu a pod. nie je obmedzené.
Competition code
It consists of RS or RST, sequence number of the connection and WW-locator.
The serial number of the connection must start with the number 001.
The complete code, including the sequence number of the connection from 001, is also transmitted by non-competing stations that do not want to be evaluated.
Three zeros - 000 - is not a proper sequence number and the connection will be marked as invalid by the evaluator.
Stations that do not wish to be rated need not send a log.
Scoring

One point is counted for each kilometer of distance covered between the two stations.
The point value of the connection in the competition diary must be given as a whole number.
1 point is counted for a connection in the same WW-locator.
According to the recommendations of IARU Region I, a coefficient of 111.2 should be used to convert degrees to kilometers, taking into account the curvature of the Earth.
The WGS-84 (World Geodetic System 1984) system is used to determine the latitude and longitude of the competition site for calculating the locator.
Connections with non-competing stations are also valid, but they are required to transmit the entire competition code, including the sequence number.
Competition diary
It can be sent to the evaluator in electronic form or on paper.
The electronic diary must be in the format EDI (REG1TEST), which is intended as a standard format for evaluating plants within IARU Region I.
The diary in another format will not be accepted and the station will not be evaluated in the race.
As a paper logbook, a legible photocopy of the station logbook with marked connection points is sufficient.
A legibly scanned paper log with points marked for connections can also be emailed.
The plant diary must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the seventh day after the end of the race.
The connection is invalid if the station has in the log
- any error in the received code, i.e. in a tag, report, connection serial number or locator,
- connection time difference greater than 10 minutes from the correct UTC time.
The station will not be evaluated in the race
- for non-compliance with competition or permit conditions,
- for false or erroneous data listed in the competition diary,
- for unsportsmanlike behavior during the race.
Sending log
- Electronically at qrp [at] seznam.cz
- By mail to the address: Miroslav Bečev, Neustupného 1831, 155 00 Prague 5
By sending the diary, the station confirms that it has fulfilled the propositions of the Summer QRP race on VKV.
