These conditions apply from July 1, 2011 for Letný QRP race to vkv. ČAV – Czech-Moravian amateur broadcasters announce the Summer QRP competition on VKV.
The summer QRP race on VHF always takes place on the first full weekend of August, on Sunday from 07.00 UTC to 13.00 UTC in the 144 MHz band. Competitors from all states can take part in it. It is an international race.

Competition categories:
-
144 MHz SO
-
144 MHz MO
SO (SINGLE OP) – a station operated by an individual without any outside help during the race. External assistance during the race is understood as own operation of the broadcasting and receiving equipment, routing of antennas, keeping a diary and overview of the stations that were worked with, operation of equipment for access to the PR network or the Internet.
MO (MULTI OP) – other stations.
Types of operation: CW and phonics according to permit conditions, while it is necessary to follow the recommendations of Region I IARU for various types of operation in frequency sections of amateur radio bands.

Other conditions:
-
QTH any.
-
All station equipment must be placed on an area with a maximum diameter of 500 meters. The location of the station must not be changed during the race.
-
The use of a remote receiver or transmitter is not allowed.
-
Each station may only have one signal at a time; signals necessary for connection to packet radio are not taken into account.
-
Several stations can broadcast from one station, according to the agreement between them.
-
The power of the final stage of the transmitter or the sum of the powers of the final stages may be a maximum of 10 watts.
-
Connections EME, cross-band and via ground or space transmitters are not included in the race.
-
Only one valid connection with the complete contest code confirmed by both parties can be counted with each station. Repeated connections must be marked (RPT, DUPE, etc.) with a value of 0 in the log.
-
Connections with stations that change their QTH during the race, e.g. Rover (/R), are not counted and have a value of 0.
-
Použitie DX Clusteru, chatu, mobilu a pod. nie je obmedzené.

Competition code consists of RS or RST, sequence number of the connection and WW locator. The sequence number must start with the number 001. The complete code, including the sequence number from 001, is also transmitted by non-competing stations. Three zeros - 000 - is not a valid sequence number and the connection will be marked as invalid. Non-competing stations do not have to send a log.
Scoring: One point is calculated for each kilometer of distance between the two stations. The point value must be given as a whole number. 1 point is counted for connection in the same WW locator. The recommended coefficient for calculating distances is 111.2 (taking into account the curvature of the Earth). The WGS-84 system is used to determine geographic coordinates. Connections with non-competing stations are also valid, but must transmit the entire code.
Competition diary can be sent electronically or in paper form.
The electronic diary must be in EDI format (REG1TEST). Any other format will not be accepted and the station will not be rated.
As a paper diary, a legible photocopy of the station diary with marked points will suffice.
It is also possible to send a legibly scanned diary by e-mail.
The diary must be sent no later than the seventh day after the end of the race.
The connection is invalid, if the station has in the diary:
-
any error in the received code (brand, report, serial number or locator),
-
connection time difference greater than 10 minutes from the correct UTC.

The station will not be evaluated:
-
for non-compliance with competition or permit conditions,
-
for false or erroneous data in the diary,
-
for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Sending logs:
-
Electronically at: qrp [zavináč] seznam.cz
-
By mail to the address: Miroslav Bečev, Neustupného 1831, 155 00 Prague 5.
By sending the log, the station confirms that it has fulfilled the propositions of the Summer QRP race on VKV.
