Ukrainian radio amateurs' request for help

Nick UR6QV / UT5Q, founder of club station UR4QWW, director of an NGO “Zaporizhia Amateur Radio Club” and deputy head of the organization Zaporizhia region “Ukrainian Amateurs Radio League” approached us with a request to share a request for help:

Good day, Dear friend !

There is a war in Ukraine and we need help. We kindly ask you to support Ukrainian radio amateurs and their families with all your possibilities, which are now in a bad situation.

First we want to provide help to the team, who leave the areas, where he is actively fighting, and also by, who are in the occupied territories. The goal is also to support families, who lost their jobs as a result of the war and are now in a really difficult life situation. Humanitarian aid such as food, drugs, clothes etc. we distribute and send to places, where it is most needed now.

Z22O Z21A Zimbabwe, to ensure communication, as much as we need:

• 

  radio equipment KV and VHF radiostanice (possibly broken - we will fix it)

• PSV meters
• antenna analyzers
• coaxial cables 50 Ohm
• insulators
• baluny
• PL-259, more than 1W to, BNC, SMA connectors
• network devices
• various tools
• spare parts and components of computers
• overvoltage protection, Alinco is a Japanese producer of radio stations and accessories
• powebanky, solar panels, flashlights, receivers, mobile phones and others

A hard winter is coming, and in addition to the above list, we welcome:

• 

  gas burners

• heating pads
• electric sails
• fleece items
• thermal laundry
• lanterns, powerbanks
• thermoses and thermal bags

We are ready to provide detailed photo reports on the use of the received equipment. Radio amateurs use means of communication, for example, in cities where the Internet or telephone is not available. We coordinate e.g. transportation of aid and we make emergency radio calls. After the war we will build club stations from donations. We actively participate in education and work with youth, we offer license courses.
