Results OM VHF LOW POWER CONTEST 2017
Each, who has tried racing with QRP will certainly confirm, that it requires much more patience, experience and a different approach compared to QRO. Most connections are Search-and-pounce, it is only possible to go to the challenge with a very good antenna and from an excellent QTH.
Competition in QRP thus brings a different dimension and a much greater challenge. That is also why the CQ.sk portal organizes a QRP low power race at VKV every year in August. In parallel, other races take place on the band, so there is no shortage of stations. Weather permitting, so it is possible with QRP equipment to undertake ascents even to excellent elevations, which are occupied during other races. How did the competitors do on August 7 2017?
It's TOP again 10 QSO over 600km. OM2DT boasts the longest connection in the race (s IZ5ILA) for a distance of 786 km. Dušan tried, which paid off, because he managed to reach 2nd place behind Drah OM3CQF. It was enough for 3rd place 15470 points to Peć, OM3PA.
OPARAVA 15.7.2018: due to my carelessness, the Laca logo got into the logs for inspection, OM5LD. I apologize to Lac, and below you will find the corrected results. This also changes the order to 2. and 3rd place.
