Extension of the TX range of the FT-840

Ok guys, I see quite a few people looking for "mods" for this radio, so here's how to get the FT-840 out of the allowed band.

Všetko je jednoduché, pri použití konektora na pine TP2003 nothing needs to be soldered. As ground I used the green wire on the four pin connector that is located nearby TP2003. Je to zem pre RIT a SHIFT. Jednoducho som cez konektor prevliekol odizolovaný koniec drôtu a konektor znova zapojil. Pre istotu si to však overte podľa schémy. Potom pokračujte podľa tohto návodu:

1. Remove the lower and upper cover of the radio.
2. Pripoj jumper (spojku) z bodu TP2003 on the ground. This connection is only temporary, during programming. Point TP2003 sa nachádza pri prednom okraji lítiovej batérie.
3. With the FT-840 off, simultaneously press the buttons SSB a AM, zapni stanicu a potom obe tlačidlá naraz uvoľni.
4. Na displeji sa zobrazí 02-on. Stlač tlačidlo AM to confirm the setting - appears 7.000.00 LSB.
   • If it does not appear 02-on, otoč hlavným ladiacim gombíkom na zmenu nastavenia.
5. Turn off the station.
6. While turning on the station, hold the buttons at the same time MEM, DOWN a UP.
7. Turn off the power and remove the jumper.

If a problem occurs, load the contents of the backup memory back using the switch backup switch-u podľa manuálu, a potom zopakuj vyššie uvedené kroky.
