WRTC basically eliminates advantages and disadvantages QTH or the difference in the equipment used. All teams are concentrated in a small area and each is equipped with the same antenna equipment and power limit.

What is WRTC?
The World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) is a 24-hour competition for two-man teams to establish competitive radio amateur links. All teams have almost identical conditions, use the same antennas, broadcast from the same geographical region with the same power. The history of the WRTC began in Seattle in 1990. It was followed by San Francisco (1996), Slovenia (2000), Finland (2002), Brazil (2006), Russia (2010), Boston (2014) and Germany (2018).

Qualifying for the WRTC
Only a limited number of competitors can participate in this event. Therefore, it is necessary to qualify for the WRTC. The number of points obtained is calculated by a rather complex formula:
Skóre podujatia = (Hodnota contestu) x (Váhový faktor kategórie) x (Dosiahnuté skóre / Maximálne skóre)
Why such a pattern? The organizers of the WRTC try to take into account the different difficulty of the race, category or location.
