CZE - BRI - S 2010

Three - day activity of the Czechs, British and Slovak QRPákov February 2010

Tieto 3 days of QRP activity of Slovak, Czech and British radio amateurs, organized by G-QRP-Club especially for OM, OK and G stations. The competition is intended to encourage enthusiasm for radio amateur activity with small power as well as cooperation and friendship between radio amateurs from Slovakia, Bohemia and Britain. QRPs from other countries are usually added to these days of activity to support low power operation. Max. TX power is 5W. In addition to the Slovak members of G-QRP-C, every OM radio amateur who is able and willing to work with low power is welcome in this race. After all, it is not a problem to reduce the power on a more powerful device down to 5W, output from the exciter, or at the end of the week, take a flight recorder and make a single or multi-watt TX for this short competition as well as other competitions that also have a QRP category. Excellent connections can be made even with low power.

OM stations, those who take part in the race and send in a diary for evaluation will also receive a small commemorative participation prize in the form of a £2 Marconi commemorative coin for their efforts.

We establish connections with all QRP stations. Call CQ QRP or CQ CZEBRIS. Connections with other QRP stations also apply until the race, not only with OM, OK, G a M. Count on the fact that QRO stations will also call you. Although these connections are not included in the competition, but they will please QRO stations who value the effort and skill of QRP stations.

The beginning : 16.00 GMT on Friday, February 26
End : 23.59 GMT on Sunday, February 28
Type of operation: Telegraphy (CW)
Max. performance : 5W

Connections are made around the usual QRP frequencies 3560, 7030, 14060, 21060 a 28060 kHz sometimes plus/minus 10-15 kHz, depending on how many participants there are. There are no multipliers in this race. The final result is the sum of points from all bands. The following contest code will be broadcast: RST / less / performance e.g. 579 ALEX 3W.

Since there are relatively few of us participating and we are chasing bands, I suggest that we operate the following mode of mutual search. In addition to normal operation, every hour 00-10 min., 20-30 a 40-50 min. let's call CQ QRP on each part of the bands 050-060 kHz. On 7MHz 7025-035 kHz. This is because digital traffic starts on this band from 7035-higher and there is strong interference from them. Call also on higher bands, even if the band seems to be dead, because it often happens that everyone just listens. You just have to tap it and it's done. HI. That way we will all know, that in these time intervals whoever will be in the zone will CQ and we will find each other more easily. Let's try how it goes.

This Anglo-Czecho-Slovak competition started before 25 years at the initiative of Peter OK1CZ, when dozens of QRPák participated in it. Since then, our activity has slowly declined and now it's time to breathe some new enthusiasm and life into it. I hope that Slovak QRPs, but also QRO rich people who want to try something different for a change, they will fire up their 5W PA transistors and thus contribute to this interesting QRP meeting GOKOM on the bands.. However, it requires patience and endurance. I wish everyone success in the race, joy and pride in the results achieved.
