The KTA500 is now undergoing final testing and firmware corrections. The official presentation will be at the Dayton radio amateur meeting in May or earlier.

Psát v srpnu 2020 o tom, že Elecraft chystá novinku – tuner KAT500 je přinejmenším nekorektní. Psát o tom, že „KAT500 je teraz podrobená finálnemu testovaniu a korekciám vo firmware“ is the continuation of writing Aesop's fables. I bought the KAT500 back in 2013 and have been using it together with the KPA500 since then. Production of the K3 and K3S has been discontinued, but the KAT500 and KPA500 are still in production and can be purchased. There are no plans to stop their production yet.
Jinak KAT500 is the best tuner, jaký se mi dostal do ruky a dokáže vyladit naprosto neuvěřitelné impedance. Jeho firmware prodělal složitý vývoj a řadu změn, dnes dokáže dokonce „předvídat“, jaká bude impedance na frekvenci, kam ještě nebyl naladěn (dělá de facto totéž, co Smithův diagram). Myslím že tento tuner těžko najde konkurenta.
