GuestZones represent an arrangement of channels, which are currently set up and named after converters, which they support. In general, there is one converter per zone.
FPP is a generic DMR zone, which will allow the user to reprogram the TX and RX frequencies to the new converter, without the need to update the codeplug.
WW is the original worldwide talk group (TG), whose primary language is English, but you can also hear QSOs in other languages here. To be used only as a call channel, the length of the QSO should be minimal with that, that does QSY on UA channels.
WWE (TG13) is WW TG in English. TG preferred for international contacts, it is also used as a call channel.
UAE1 and UAE2 are user access groups. They only connect the local rpt at both ends of the QSO and release the others. So you contact not WWE and then QSY on UAE1 or UAE2. QSO in any language.

GuestAT your audio test TG. You can see the VU meter at norcaldmr.org/listen-now, processing takes approx 25 seconds.
Each rpt has two time slots. Only one TG can be active in a given time slot.

Check the LED on the radio before you make a call for the first time. If it glows green, rpt is currently active on at least one TG. Use the channel selector to find out where, so as not to interrupt ongoing QSOs.
CQ does not need to be called, just e.g.. OM1XYZ listens to worldwide English TG (WWE). This will help the scanner return the channel selector to that channel, so he can talk to you.

GuestThe radio can have up to 1000 channels, which is the case of MD380.
You need one channel for each frequency combination, CC, TS, TG.
CC (color code) is similar to CTCSS analog rpt. We know 16 CC (CC0-CC15).
CC is required, as well as CTCSS in analog rpt.TS is explained below and TG is a voice group.

ParticipantNoro, 2.12. you were able to program the radio for the first time with my instant settings because it bore you with another 14.12. you give your senses to beginners? Bravo. I've been doing it for half a year and I'm still learning and I'd rather give me a link to a site where it's described better and from a more experienced, how to give advice where i'm not entirely sure.

It depends on who sets it up, when you give advice, give also for which cps… In my setup, there are multiple RPTs and even directives in one zone, I don't have it named after RPT but after area…
Check the LED on the radio before you make a call for the first time. If it glows green, rpt is currently active on at least one TG. Use the channel selector to find out where, so as not to interrupt ongoing QSOs.
The frequency can also be occupied by other types of operation than DMR, for example FM, D*, C4FM, FM CW ID, so in that case, the channel voters will find out… WITH 5 pcs DMR RPT in OM there is not a single pure DMR, all runs in combined mode. But in general, there is good advice, don't broadcast, if you don't know if you can.
I don't know why you're just dealing with global traffic and you're ignoring it, what DMRs are operated for and what they run on >90% time and it's national (or OM and OK) prevdzka. DMR should be for information transfer, is not primarily intended for establishing WW connections, we have other types of operation and even more suitable passports. No one prevents anyone from making WW connections, but inform only about what is interesting for you but for most to try? And with the title “DMR for beginners” ? If you understood “line on request” and its applications for other than “permanent lines” in connection with WW, so you would know, ze rada “OM1XYZ listens to worldwide English TG” in practice it is very unlikely on OM carriers… Traffic is up to 10 min. windows when there is another OM1xxx somehow “lines on request” such an opportunity arises wants a dose of patience.
It is not necessary to inform beginners of someone, who also sees behind the curtain? Who knows why and which TG are fixed, what are the possibilities of Brandmaister, sysopa, hardware? Nicely processed matters are on the mhz.sk website, hamradio.cz. These pages should not be in the ranks for beginners?

GuestNo anus, it bore me with that American codeplug, because I forgot to press PTT…..:)
The one with me “adjusted” should walk.
But it's basically useless, I will all use yours anyway.
In one material, I felt a warning, so that beginners don't drill in codeplugs; u teba mi chyba velmi strucny prehlad principov DMR, because there are always people, what will I dig. It is always good to pour all those prevailed materials to the average amateur user, so that there is no reason to bully anyone for operator misconduct.
But when you don't have time, I understand this.Anonymous

ParticipantYou go to those pages on HAM radio where you refer in the local previous posts about DMR?
I refer to them from my site (to which I have links here) and also from the list of operators from hamradio.sk.
I'm not playing “skolitela DMR zaciatocnikov” , I just built and operate, among others, a DMR transporter and on its website I provide links to information for those interested. What is primarily what or what is what primary points to.
Error, it shows current and several years of use. (even a few months ago, DMR operated island-level at the national level) And I decide that too, what they build for others and for what purpose they build and operate it. I'm convinced, that if it were to be completely remembered, so you have a piece of DMR questionnaire at home with the ability to connect anywhere.
I suppose, that DMR is an attractive DX connection for a trained monkey, as I am, and there are still easier means for local connections, e.g.. network of analogue carriers, hm?
Error, abbot see statistics. And congratulations on the equipment, when you can connect to Poprad via an analog converter from Bratislava, Cadcou, Kosice, not that it wouldn't be possible, for example over 2m Krizava or Kralova hola, but not too frequent and not with the equipment you have or I use in the car. A block “DX” via Internet? LOL About how to chop DX via Echolink, to chat ok, but don't write it down in DXCC 😆
FPP is possible in my codeplug, v zone deafult su “predpripravene” preferences, which can be modified from the radio on the MD-380 with modified fw.

Here you are a bit of a contradiction:
Even a few months ago, the DMR operated island at the national level….Look led to OK, DMR Sobe network and try to get into it (even over the radio, White list). See OE, whether you get from BM to their DMR +, DMARC… It is still a long way to connect all DMR carriers and hotspots worldwide.
The Brandmaiseter website has a wide range of statistical production options, make the effort and compare WW and national traffic and then make conclusions. And consider Echolink, which has been here for years and how it is mostly used (l). It will not be different with DMR, there are other modes for all connections.
I printed the three pages in Slovak about DMR…
I did not know, you can't speak Czech, when you are a translator, on hamradio.cz there is significantly more than on 3 pages… Or do you expect technicians and operators to create a Slovak litany when it is already done in the past and from man, which is done much longer and professionally?
The last answer in this thread, start DMR beginners. And please Villa, let this fiber leave and not grease.

ParticipantI still have to answer, to prevent interference and an unnecessary pile.
Great recommendation, what about that only time slot knows 1 (so only half of what RPT has) but with TX it also cancels time slot 2… The actions either have a delay in TX OFF and so I enter TS2 or do not turn off TX during TS2 in general. But it only costs € 68 and it pays off for Horst. When the sysop finds out the use of such radios, yes he will “ban” to user ID, super cup 😉 Pouzitelne in DMO mode, even through the hotspot that TS1 knows, but don't climb on the carrier!
For comparison with analog, on Kamzik are OM0OVV and OM0OUB, Chinese TRX can only work with UHF OM0OUB (TS1) but during UHF transmission it also transmits on OM0OVV input (TS2), super, Nope?

GuestNorko knows Australian , skirts …. k. 🙂 🙂 😀 😀
is the detail, you don't need to be ridiculed, you set yourself up with your contributions . Of course, except me, a couple of people showed resentment with the continuation of your soap opera … and you don't understand and you continue …
