I have a problem with connecting HRD for Icom IC 706 and I am asking for work. It's about the fact that I can't connect with TRX like that, to control the TRX.
I have an interface from primysystems via USB. Thanks for any advice.

And you can connect TCVR to PC like that, that it shows you the frequency?

    You have to check:
    – USB device detection in Windows (COM port number)
    – CI-V parameters in the TCVR-a menu (address 48h, which can be linked with AirScout and operability 19200, CI-V network)
    – interface power supply

It's true that it doesn't show me the frequency.
    power supply checked OK,
address as well as freq entered but nothing.
PC also finds my com port, in which I have USB Hamradio deluxe connected but the program does not find the radio 🙁

Try reducing the speed of the IC-706 to a minimum, address to 48h and CI-V trasceive to OFF.

HRD for the given port and other autodetect.

    I made, but it doesn't help 😕
still the same error, I really don't know anymore, how to revive it. I saw how it can be tuned nicely, it writes freq in the log as well, it tracks the satellite frequency nicely and it doesn't work for me, 😡

1, give a link to the manufacturer of the interface
2, give a statement from the Windows HW Manager, which device and on which port it detects
3, have you seen a given TCVR controlled from a PC?
4, have you seen the given cable work?

In case, that you have a webcam (not in the laptop, freely movable) a skype, we can try to get it going together.

Please, describe the solution in detail, I was also unable to get the communication working with the IC-706 MK II. It would certainly be worth an article with a more detailed description.

After many attempts with drivers, by setting up and resetting the TRX as well as the PC with Viliam's help, we didn't come up with anything concrete. Now I sent a request to the manufacturer. If I know anything, I will definitely post it here. Well, if anyone has any advice and experience, I will be very happy, if he contributes.

    Hi.
I use the microHAM interface, where an FTDI chip is used for USB/RS-232 conversion, of course then conversion to CI-V interface.
Virtual port COM5, which can be linked with AirScout and operability 9600, CI-V address of Icom 706 is 58, then HRD ver 5.0 2837 beta.
No problem everything works, TRX control, loading frequency, etc, etc.
If you want, write, or call me on SKYPE : baljo388.

So that I don't confuse you, Icom's default CI-V addresses are these:
    Ten-Tec Receipt……………48H
And we have it over with……..4EH
    IC-706MKIIG……58H

but you probably won't have a problem with that.

The connection between PC and TRX is functional, but only for sending and receiving audio signals, TRX control via PC does not work. So I resigned, and I don't go digi. The box and cables are covered in dust in the drawer. I have not tried any other program, nor the USB/RS232 converter. Maybe it would be worth a try, because digital operation also has its charm….

Hi, as om1ci wrote, there is no problem with the microkeyer. I have ic7000 and ts850. both radios work great with the PC without a single problem. I use loger32 and it records freq and mode 100%. I haven't tried digi mod yet. There is of course a separate cable for each radio.
