GuestHello,
I want to stretch the Diamont W-8010 antenna on the new QTH. One end will be attached to a bracket on the roof of the house and the other end I would like to attach a column 7.5-8 m high (I'll catch the farm building on the plot). However, I cannot find a shop in the vicinity of Trnava, in which I would be able to buy seamless pipes with a length of 4m, such an average, so I can tuck them in at the junction, or some discarded street lighting pole with a length of 8m. Shops from Trnava and surroundings, which are on the web I have already called and without success.
Can't someone from the vicinity of Trnava advise me on a specific business, which may not be on the web and should have the mentioned goods or. you do not know a person who would be able to mediate the sale of pipes, resp. used street lighting pole 8m long?
well thank you

… Hi, Daniel, OM1DSAnonymous
GuestHi,
I have such a laminate telescope. The picture shows HEAVY DUTY and I have an ordinary one. This will probably be an emergency solution, but to be satisfied with the permanent assembly, I would prefer metal pipes with a diameter of 40-45mm.

ParticipantUnless you're upset, try the classic scaffolding tube. Otherwise, I don't know why you need it for the band 27 MHz such a complicated antenna.

GuestThank you gentlemen,
I called Senec and for an 8m post I ask for 400 €… I wrote Alufun regarding the price offer and I am probably not interesting to them, leo have not yet written off….
In the end, the problem was solved. In the village, a gentleman gives me a pillar that he has in the garden and does not use it.Thank you all for your willingness.

GuestOtherwise, in Alfun in Sered, I have already bought aluminum pipes several times and I have always walked well. They were willing to advise and cut into the necessary debt.
They have 6m pieces of different diameters and you can also choose what can be inserted into each other.
They also have cuttings for a better price. But I've always been there in person.
I recommend. If you still need to.

ParticipantGood advice on gold, if it's like a support rod, try using classic fence tubes. They have around 2,5 m, are surface treated, they have them in every building material. The mechanical strength is definitely satisfactory. The price is reasonable. The only problem is with the extension, that it is necessary to turn the intermediate piece or to obtain the connecting pipe into which we insert them. Who is not demanding, can be used as an intermediate piece and a piece of wood.

GuestFence posts, can be obtained in diameters of 38mm, 48mm, 58mm, 68mm, sometimes even 75 a 100mm.
They are usually plastic coated, but also galvanized.
They do not attack themselves telescopically, the intermediate piece must be rolled out of the sheet, at least 200mm in the overlap and screw the pipes.
If the adapter is fixed, just two M8 screws. It is good to choose the columns of the column lengths, aspon 3m, thick-walled / corner /.
Thin in the wind, if they are pushed together at 8m usually bend, or break. For planting in the ground, well drill motor drill with extension cord, 1,3m hlboka diera 250mm vyvrtana, sufficient as a base for 10m of those pipes.
As a foundation, it is good to use at least 75mm 1.5m thick-walled iron pipe, which is covered with a dry concrete mix, possibly when sprinkling, fill in layers with washed stones from the borehole, if they are at hand.
If it falls into clay soil, it is good to drill even deeper.
After that, the column is inserted into the pipe at the base, leveled with how many wooden ones and sprinkled with sand which knocks and finally watered, to sit completely.
The pins are removed and a concrete cap is made on top.
In case of a problem, the blend breaks and the column can be pulled out of the sand bed in that pipe. Those fence posts, should be well chosen, sometimes they offer those pipes like that “papierove”, that they will bend during transport.
I bought columns at Moravsko Slezske dratovny AS. at BA they have a branch in Tomasov.
http://www.msdo.sk/pages/prehlrub.asp?cd=11&typ=cThe second option is, use armored pipes, what are used as cable shields, are available in vatsich elektrach, but the transport length is greater, as with fence posts and should be well coated, because even if they are galvanized, quickly rusty. The price is also significantly higher, as with fence posts. But the strength is much higher.

ParticipantAs far as QTH is a forest, so wooden sticks would suffice. The pipes can also be connected with scaffolding couplings. 8 m pipe must be very well anchored. So good luck.

ParticipantJust a question out of curiosity for someone who knows more about it. What is the difference between welded and welded? I know I'll be stronger, but about how much? Resp use welded as a mast on the antenna.

Seamless pipes are stronger, more expensive.
