The final results of the Short Listening Period (SLP) 2005 plus the results of the 8th stage

Rok 2005 priniesol rádioamatérom a poslucháčom krátkovlnných pásiem opäť intenzívnu súťažnú aktivitu v rámci Short Listening Period (SLP), ktorá preverila schopnosti SWL operators to record and correctly register broadcasts during individual stages. The final results of the eighth stage of SLP 2005 bring a clear overview of the most successful participants who were able to combine accuracy, persistence and a systematic approach to tracking signals.

In the eighth stage itself, Jozef Marcincák (OM3-0001) dominated with a significant score of 55,848 points, thus confirming his stable and regular participation throughout the year. Vladimir Ignatov (R3A-847) followed with 29,988 points and Richard Frank (DH2URF-swl) with 23,862 points. The achievements of these SWLs show not only individual skills, but also effective use of equipment and experience in tracking signals on different bands and at different times.

When the results of all eight stages are taken into account and the best six results for each participant are counted, the final ranking of SLP 2005 clearly reflects the continuous activity and perseverance of individual listeners. The OM3-0001 claimed the lead with a total score of 121,516 points, while the R3A-847 came in second with 81,596 points and the SM7-8190 placed third with 57,013 points.

Other participants, including NL7403, I5-1990 and DH2URF-swl, were able to use their experience and technical equipment to obtain high point ratings in individual stages. The overall results of SLP 2005 not only document the achievements of the best SWL operators, but also provide valuable information for planning participation in subsequent years and motivate persistent and accurate operation.
