Na Tokyo Ham Fair 2012 bol prezentovaný nový Icom IC-7100 HF/VHF/UHF transceiver with touch screen. The novelty could be the successor of the successful IC-706 mobile transceiver.
IC-7100 je prvým transceiverom, ktorý (v niektorých verziách) ponúka aj 70MHz pásmo. Predný panel s reproduktorom je odnímateľný a umožňuje tak skryť telo zariadenia mimo zorné pole operátora. Zabudovaný PSV meter bude fungovať aj na VHF/UHF. IF DSP takes care of filtering and standard functions such as notch or noise reduction. The IC-7100 has a slot for an SD memory card, where audio can also be recorded. Audio input and audio output are connected directly via USB (probably an integrated sound card).
IC-7100 is currently presented as a sample piece, it is possible that some things will be improved after it goes on sale.
