Perseidy 2021
Among amateur radio (but not only between them) Perseids are a very popular meteor shower. They are fast meteors, which fly into the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of up to 59 km/s) and they often leave a visual trail behind. Combined with the abundance of this swarm, they represent an excellent opportunity for meteor scatter which can be linked with AirScout and operability. Unless the night sky is obscured by clouds, visual observation will also be possible.
Perseid maximum predicted 2021
The projected maximum of the Perseids will reach 13.augusta 2021 at one o'clock in the night CET. Some years it was also observed secondary maximum with a time gap of several hours (for example in the year 2008 was the gap between the maxima 20 hours).
Number of reflections changes every year, there are often more than 80, some years it reaches a value of 200. Every year, a large number of stations from all over Europe are active during the Perseids. The best times for JZ-SV connections 07-12 UTC, in the V-Z direction 12-20 UTC a JV-SZ 20-02.
