Advanced use of Clublog.org and N1MM
Not many radio amateurs have experienced that bad feeling, when the computer, on which they had the whole station log refused to work. And of course there is no current backup.
Example two, DX Expedition has an online log. The update represents a stop operation, export ADIF and upload it to the server manually. Working and associating, therefore, expeditions usually do this only once a day.
There is a way, how to deal with these situations professionally? Rick N2AGM wrote the software, which automatically every connection from N1MM log will upload in real time to your log on ClubLog.org. He currently uses an increasing number of expeditions for easy handling, good functionality and interesting statistics.
Using Rick's N1MM-ClubLog Gateway http://www.n2amg.com/software/n1mm-clublog-gateway/ the online log process is simplified. Every link will be sent to ClubLog.org immediately and you can check it out right away, whether you are in the log.
It is also advantageous as diary backup - if the home computer stops working, you have all connections stored on ClubLog.org.
How to do it?
If you are already a ClubLog.org user, skip this paragraph. Others need to create an account by registering at https://secure.clublog.org/signup.php and confirmation via email, which comes after filling in the form.
Download to your computer N1MM-Clublog Gateway and install. According to the documentation in the text file, it is necessary to add a few lines to the N1MM Logger.ini file (External Broadcast items). That's necessary for that, to make connection information available to other programs.
After running the N1MM log, start the Gateway and fill in the required data: email address, brand and password. And you can log.
If there is a problem and you are sure, that everything is set up correctly, try to write to Rick. I also had problems on one computer, but with Rick's help, I found the missing library. Rick promptly wrote the new version, which already has this file.
ClubLog.org released Last 10 QSOs widget. It creates a simple website with your last ten connections, DXCC number and search box. You can embed this page, for example, in your website or QRZ.com.
To take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to activate it in Settings and enable the inclusion of the tag in Leagues. Documentation and options are described at https://clublog.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/54916-last-10-qsos-widget . An easy way to verify that it works is to open the website http://www.clublog.org/last10.php?call=G7VJR (replace the brand with your own).
