SliceLogger is an amateur radio logging program developed by the author with a clear goal: to create a log fully integrated with his own setup of FlexRadio devices. The project is published on GitHub as a program for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
What SliceLogger brings and why it was created
According to the author, it has been his long-time dream to create a logging program that fully integrates with his own radios FLEX-6700, FLEX-8600M, Aurora AU-520, and amplifier PGXL. This dream has finally been fulfilled - with the help of the language model Claude - in the form of SliceLogger.
The program is designed to utilize hardware SmartSDR by directly connecting with FLEX-6000, FLEX-8000 radios or Aurora via SmartSDR API. SliceLogger is 'SmartLink-aware' and 'multiFLEX-aware', meaning it recognizes remote connections via SmartLink and the operation of multiple simultaneously active slices (separate receiving channels) on one radio, and it also integrates with the 4O3A PGXL amplifier.

How to get started
After downloading and installing the application on a computer with Windows 10 or Windows 11, it is recommended to first go to the Help → Features menu, where a complete overview of the program's features can be found. The next step is Help → Getting Started, which guides the user through setting up the operator (i.e., their own profile) and connecting to the radio.
The next step is Help → Radio Setup, which explains how the program finds the connected radio and how to log into the SmartLink account for using remote radios - for the average SmartSDR user, these concepts should be familiar, but this section serves to familiarize them with how they work directly in the SliceLogger environment. Finally, the Help → Entering a QSO section explains the actual entry of connections into the log.
The program is actively developed and the author welcomes feedback – bugs can be reported directly through the GitHub repository, with a recommendation to precisely describe what the user did and what behavior was expected instead of the actual result, ideally supplemented with screenshots. Sharing ideas for new features is also welcome.
SliceLogger is primarily intended for operators who already own one of the radios from the FlexRadio family (FLEX-6000, FLEX-8000 or Aurora) and are looking for a log built directly on the SmartSDR API, instead of general logging software with add-ons.
