We can wait approximately five weeks SSTV images from the outer space of the ISS. It is currently finalizing the plan to launch SuitSAT, which is a small, battery-powered satellite. Astronauts could launch it manually on December 8. Its lifespan is estimated at one to six weeks.
SSTV footage will be broadcast in Robot 36 mode in the 2m FM band. One session takes 9 minutes and will be repeated periodically. It will consist of telemetry data, voice recording and one SSTV image. For reception, the usual equipment for 2m FM plus a satellite prediction program and a program for receiving SSTV on a PC (MMSSTV, ChromaPix,...) with corresponding cabling will suffice.
