Result sheet SLP 2/2010

The second round of the international competition Short Listening Period (SLP) 2010, held during the weekend of March 6-7, brought some interesting surprises as well as significant changes in the running order. Several well-known listeners from Europe and America participated in the March round.

Bill W1-7897 from the USA took first place by a large margin, achieving an excellent result of 36,312 points. His meticulously kept diary and wide coverage of the bands brought him a commanding victory not only in this round, but also consolidating the overall lead in the running order, where he already has 43,419 points.

Second place goes to Jan NL997 from the Netherlands, who scored 22,791 points - a very good return for him after a poor start to the season. Third place went to Vladimir R3A-847 from Russia with 18,786 points, keeping him second behind Bill in the overall ranking. An excellent performance was also given by Jozef OM3-0001, the only Slovak representative in the table. He scored 11,285 points and confirmed his stable form, holding the fourth place in the overall ranking with 20,531 points.

Among the Dutch participants, Jan NL6828, Johan NL9723, Hans NL7403 and Ad NL9745 also appeared in the top ten. An excellent job was also done by Paul ONL3058 from Belgium, who gradually improves his position in the ranking thanks to 3,920 points.

Interestingly, up to six of the top ten listeners come from the Benelux countries, confirming a strong tradition SWL activities in this area. The newcomer among the scorers is Igor USF-007 from Ukraine, who scored 1,296 points and entered the leaderboard for the first time.
