Amateur radio meeting of the Tatras 2022

After a two-year break caused by the pandemic, the Slovak Association of Radio Amateurs is organizing 46. year of the meeting of TATRA radio amateurs. The meeting will take place on 18-20 November 2022 at the Satel Hotel in Poprad.

Lectures and presentations during the Tatra radio amateur meeting 2022

A traditional part of the Tatryje meeting is an all-day block of professional lectures and presentations. Participants have the opportunity to gain added value and learn new knowledge from experienced lecturers. This year, we managed to arrange lectures on the following topics on Saturday:

10,00: Portable QRP magnetic loop antenna MC-20 from OM0ET in practice (lecturer: Pálo OM0ET)

11,00: Remote (remote) control SDR transceivrov ICOM (lecturer: Stevo OM3RG)

13,00: CW QRP transceiver for the satellite QO-100 and LoRa technology in radio amateur practice (lecturers: Just OM2JU, Ondro OK1CDJ)

14,00: How to broadcast from nature for the WWFF diploma program (lecturer: Rado OM2ZZ)

15,00: Building a shortwave contest QTH (lecturer: Karel OK2ZI)

16,00: Presentation of DX expedition S9OK and preparations for the expedition TN8K (lecturer: Karel OK2ZI)

In addition, on Friday from 16,30 do 18,30 will also hold a public meeting ARES.

The participation fee is 4 € per person. Participants above 70 years will have half the fee, t.j. at Hight 2 €. Children to 15 years have free entry. The participation fee is paid only once, regardless of the number of days, in which the participant will participate. After payment, each participant receives a tag with a call sign and a ticket in the form of an identification paper wristband.

QSL service at the Tatra radio amateur meeting 2022

Workers will also be at the meeting QSL services of SZR, who announce, that they will bring the received QSL tickets for all district or club managers to the meeting. If you are not getting tickets through the manager and want to, for the QSL service to bring them to you for the meeting, and you are also a member of the SZR, request it on the QSL service page at hamradio.sk or by email at qsl@szr.sk, and no later than 15. November.

Accommodation and catering – reservations

Participants will order accommodation and meals directly through the hotel. So what are they? prices for accommodation and meals and how to proceed:

1-bed room with full board ……… 64 € for stay and night
2-bed room with full board ……… 94 € for stay and night
3-bed room with full board ……… 129 € for stay and night

Full pension means, that each resident has dinner on the day of arrival and breakfast and lunch on the day of departure. If you want accommodation in a multi-bed room and are looking for a roommate, you can use our Classifieds column and the I'm looking for help/advice section.

Accommodation reservations must be made on the hotel website www.hotelsatel.com. After entering the date, another page will appear with the possibility to enter a promo code. The promo code for our meeting is Tatry2022. After entering the promo code, the offer of rooms will appear, where you choose a room. It will appear in the description, that it is accommodation with breakfast only, but in fact lunch and dinner are also included in the price. You continue by pressing the Reserve button. You then fill in your personal data and payment details of your bank card.

Parking and other information about the Tatra meeting 2022

Parking is possible in the parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel charges for parking. Stayed guests have the price of a parking fee 3 € already 24 hours. Parking fees for non-residents are as follows: 2 € (15 min. to 2 throw.), 4 € (2 to 5 throw.), 8 € (5 to 10 throw.) a 15 € (10 to 24 throw.).

The hotel warns, that those interested in accommodation make a reservation as soon as possible. The hotel also provides accommodation for other guests, and as the date approaches, the number of rooms may be limited. The Thursday before our meeting is a day off, which many people can use for a long weekend.
