The last one of this year is slowly approaching CQ WW contest, a to CW časť. Tá sa bude konať 28.-29.novembra 2020 so začiatkom o 00:00:00 UTC v sobotu a koncom o 23:59:59 UTC v nedeľu. Cieľom pre rádioamatérov je nadviazať čo najväčší počet spojení v čo najväčšom počte CQ zón a zemí.

Tu sú podmienky CQ WW contest CW 2020
GOAL
For radio amateurs worldwide: make as many connections as possible in as many CQ zones and countries as possible.
BAND
Only six bands allowed: 1.8 MHz, 3.5 MHz, 7 MHz, 14 MHz, 21 MHz and 28 MHz.
Adherence to the official band plans is strictly required.

CONTEST CODE

SSB: RS + CQ zone (eg 59 05)

CW: RST + CQ zone (e.g. 599 05)
SCORING
A. Final score
Resulting score = total number of points for QSO × (sum of CQ zones + countries).
Example:
1000 points × (30 zones + 70 countries) = 100,000 final score
B. Points for QSOs
It is possible to follow up with each station only one valid connection on each band.
Points are awarded according to the opponent's position:

Connection between different continents = 3 points
-
Connection on the same continent, but in different countries = 1 point
-
Exception: North America (various countries) = 2 points
-

Connection within one country = 0 points,
but applies as a multiplier (zone or country).
C. Multipliers
-
CQ zones: each zone on each band = 1 multiplier
-
Countries: every country on every band = 1 multiplier
-
Countries are counted according to DXCC + WAE + IG9/IH9
-
The station /MM (mobile at sea) are counted only as a zone multiplier.

COMPETITIVE CATEGORIES
A. Single Operator category
One person (operator) performs all activities, including operation and log keeping.
It is allowed at any time only one transmitted signal.
There are no restrictions on changing the band or on the time of operation.
1. Single Operator – without assistance (Assistance prohibited):

High Power (all bands or one band): max. power 1500 W
-
Low Power (all bands or one band): max. power 100 W
-
QRP (all bands or one band): max. power 5 W
2. Single Operator Assisted - with enabled assistance:
The operator can use help (e.g. DX cluster, skimmer, Reverse Beacon Network).

High Power Assisted: max. power 1500 W
-
Low Power Assisted: max. power 100 W
-
QRP Assisted: max. power 5 W
B. Category overlay (individual operator)
Each participant of the Single Operator category can add one of the Overlay categories to the header Cabrillo diary.
The results of Overlay categories are published separately.

Classic Operator (Overlay CLASSIC):
-
It is only allowed one radio, no help (Assistance).
-
Max. 24 hours of operation z 48 hodín contestu.
-
There must be breaks min. 60 minutes, during which no QSO is established.
-
If the log is longer than 24 hours, they are only counted the first 24 hours.
-
Simultaneous reception during transmission is prohibited.
-

Rookie (Overlay ROOKIE):
-
The operator got first amateur license no more than 3 years pred contestom.
-
In the journal, the date of obtaining the license must be entered in the SOAPBOX field.
-
Previous winners of this category cannot win the prize again.

C. Multi-Operator - more operators (all bands only)
Any number of operators, help allowed.
It is enabled on one band only one transmitted signal at the same time.

Multi-Single (one transmitter):
-
The 10 minute rule: on one band in each 10-minute interval there can be only one main signal (RUN).
-
The second signal (MULT) is enabled only if it is on a different band and follows up new multiplier.
-
RUN and MULT are controlled independent 10-minute rules.
Performance limits:

High Power - max. power 1500 W
-
Low Power - max. power 100 W
-

Multi-Two (two transmitters):
-
Max. two signals on two different bands.
-
Each station can do max. 8 band changes per hour (00–59 minutes).
-
A MULT station must not call CQ, only answer.
-
Max. power of 1500 W on each band.
-

Multi-Multi (multiple transmitters):
-
All of them can be active at the same time 6 bands.
-
On each band only one signal.
-
Max. power of 1500 W on each band.

D. Checklog
The log is sent just for checking – the station will not be listed in the results.

DIPLOMAS AND PLAQUES

Diplomas:

Electronic diplomas are available for download for all participants who send a journal.

Plaques are awarded for best performances in categories.

One station can receive only one plaque.

CLUB COMPETITION
Club score = sum of all club members' scores.
There are 2 types of clubs:
-
USA clubs: members must be in the circle 250 miles from the center of the club area.
-
DX clubs: members must be in one DXCC country or to 400 km from the center of the club.
Rules:
-
National Organizations (ARRL, DARC, JARL) they are not eligible.
-
An individual operator can belong only to one club.
-
Multi-Op stations can split the score between multiple clubs based on the number of members.
-
At least 4 diaries they are necessary for the club to be in the results.

DEFINITIONS
-
Station location:
All TX, RX and antennas must be in circle with a diameter of 500 m. -
Assisted:
-
Any resource providing call sign or multiplier information,
e.g. DX cluster, CW Skimmer, RBN, online DX sites.

GENERAL RULES
-
Comply with the conditions of your category.
-
Every diary = one call sign.
-
Do not exceed performance limits.
-
Self-spotting is prohibited.
-
Remote station allowed if all equipment is in one place.
-
Remote receivers outside the station are prohibited.
-
On one band at one moment only one signal.
-
The QSO must be established iba počas contestu.
-
No additional QSO corrections after the end.
-
Call signs must be exactly written down.
-
ITU Reg.1: at 40m above 7200 kHz SSB is not allowed.
-
ITU Reg.1: at 160m below 1810 kHz is not allowed.

DIARIES

It is mandatory electronic sending of the diary.
-
Single-lane logs must also include other connections for inspection.

Possibility to download the diary from the assessment to 30 days after the deadline.
DEADLINE - CLOSING

Logs must be sent do 5 dní po skončení contestu.

Late diaries may be published but they will not be evaluated.
RULING AND DISQUALIFICATION
-
The CQ WW DX committee decides all disputes.
-
Unsportsmanlike conduct includes e.g.:
-
Realization of QSO outside the amateur band (telephone, chat, VoIP).
-
Broadcasting outside the permitted frequencies.
-
Deliberate incorrect entries.
-
Excessively wide signal or harmonics.
-
-
In case of a serious violation → disqualification.
-
Disqualified logs will be listed in the results.
STATEMENT OF THE PARTICIPANT
By sending the diary, the participant confirms that:
-
Read a understands the rules and will abide by them.
-
He runs the station in accordance with the license and laws of your country.
-
Agrees to the publication of the contents of the diary.
-
He notes that committee decisions are final.
