The Eta Aquarids belong to the nine main meteor showers, they are a fast shower with a geocentric speed of 64 km/s. The swarm will be active from May 3 to May 10, 2021 with a relatively wide maximum, whose peak falls on the night May 5-6, 2021. The conditions for observation in 2021 are favorable - the moonlight will interfere only minimally, since on the day of the maximum the Moon is 3 days after the last quarter. We will see the most meteors in the morning sky before sunrise.
The most suitable time for connections in the SW-NW direction is 07-10 UT, in the E-W direction 04-09 UT and in the SE-NW direction it is 06-10 UTC. In the N-S direction, the best time for connections is not.
