HAM meeting in B.Bystrica

Saturday, September 17 2011 was in central Slovakia already in the sign of autumn. It was cloudy and quite cloudy – cool after the previous hot days. The planned HAM meeting in Banská Bystrica was held at a new location in the Trend restaurant in the Fončorda area. Many also had problems with navigation. Even the Elected. We walked around the housing estate in a vicious circle, and a GPS would have been useful. We were all the more pleased when we saw the familiar faces of radio amateurs from Krupina and then others. The meeting was about 10,00 the LSEC season is already in full swing. The organizers of the meeting, headed by Jozef/OM3MV, chose a quite pleasant environment. We shook hands and talked to almost 80 radio amateurs from all over Slovakia. The biggest DX was probably Dušan from Stara Ľubovna. There was no end to useful and less useful conversations. Three sellers of parts and HAM equipment were also introduced. The biggest was Miro from the Nitrian AWAS. Dušan-OM2ADP gathered other radio amateurs to OM – callbook The raffle did not take place this time. We ate all the sausage and also the long-awaited HAM goulash. Several people took photos.
