Predbežné výsledky OM LOW POWER 432 MHz contest

Tohtoročné predbežné výsledky OM LOW POWER Contestu v pásme 432 MHz ukazujú, že aj s výkonom do niekoľkých wattov možno dosiahnuť zaujímavé spojenia a preukázať technickú i operátorskú zručnosť. Súťaž prilákala viacero slovenských a českých staníc, ktoré v priebehu pretekov preukázali výbornú znalosť práce na VHF and the ability to effectively use limited powers and simple antenna systems.

The station took first place OK1FEN, which achieved 1502 points with seven valid connections. From the locator JN79OW at a height of 510 m above sea level, it worked with a power of 5 watts and an antenna of 7 elements, while the longest connection – ODX 299 km – reached with the station SO9A.

He finished in second place OK1ADT, which with eight connections obtained 1146 points. He worked from a locator JO80AC with a 22-element antenna and a power of 7 W, while its longest connection was to the Polish station SO9A (237 km).

The third place belongs to OM3WC, which from the locator JN88TI (146 m above sea level) established seven connections and obtained 1101 points. He used an antenna type DK7ZB and a power of 10 W. The longest connection was again SO9A with a range of 274 km.

They followed in the next order OM3RAL a OM3RDX, which achieved only one connection, but confirmed the interest in low-performance races and contributed to the overall rating.

Famous names also appeared in lower positions QRP enthusiasts – OM3KMA, OM3WYB a OM0ADC, who demonstrated that even a minimum power (1–10 W) makes it possible to obtain valid connections at a distance of tens of kilometers.

The competition once again confirmed that "low power" operation is an excellent school of technical precision, patience and correct timing of connections.
