Radioddity GS-10B Pro expands the capabilities of a regular handheld radio amateur station with a broadband receiver, shortwave reception in SSB and CW modes, and a spectrum display. The basis remains an analog two-band station for communication in the VHF and UHF bands, supplemented by a receiver for listening to broadcasts on long, medium and short waves. It is especially interesting for radio amateurs who want to combine operation on local transmitters with monitoring of more distant signals in one device.
The most important thing is to understand its capabilities correctly: the GS-10B Pro transmits only in the VHF and UHF bands. HF reception including SSB and CW is intended for monitoring, not for establishing shortwave connections. The manufacturer states a maximum transmission power of 8 W, and optional levels of 5 W and 2 W.

Broadcasting part and operational possibilities
Broadcasting covers the ranges 136 to 174 MHz and 400 to 470 MHz. The station therefore includes amateur radio bands of 2 m and 70 cm, while the exact usable frequencies and station settings must always be adapted to the valid operating conditions. Modulation when broadcasting is FM. The power can be set to 8 W, 5 W or 2 W, which makes it possible to reduce consumption for short distance connections.

A pair of A/B display channels and a Dual Watch function make it easy to monitor two frequencies, such as a local converter and a simplex channel. However, it is not a full-fledged receiver with two independent receiving paths that would simultaneously process both signals. When planning the operation, therefore, the limitations of tracking two frequencies must be taken into account. The second side PTT button can be configured to transmit on a second channel, which is handy when working with two groups.
Broadband receiver and SSB reception
The most significant difference from ordinary cheap handheld stations is the receiver. According to the user manual, AM reception covers the ranges 153 to 279 kHz on longwave, 520 to 1710 kHz on medium wave, and 2.3 to 30 MHz on short wave. SSB (USB/LSB) and CW reception in the range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz is listed separately. FM radio can be received in the range of 64 to 108 MHz and air communication in the band 108 to 137 MHz in AM mode.
For radio amateurs, SSB reception is useful for monitoring amateur bands, listening to shortwave stations, and tracking propagation. CW reception, on the other hand, makes it possible to monitor telegraph traffic without the need for a separate receiver. The air band can be used to listen to communications between aircraft and air traffic control, while it is exclusively for reception.
On HF, the station has its own antenna connector separate from the VHF/UHF input. The package includes two small circular loop antennas, intended for medium and short waves. The directional characteristics of a loop antenna can help suppress local interference by rotating the antenna to a suitable position. However, for serious DX listening, a suitable external antenna and a separate receiver with better adjustment options remain an advantage.
Color display with spectral display
The 1.77-inch color display shows the frequency, memory channel name and other operating data. A special feature is the spectral display with a waterfall effect, which helps to visually search for active frequencies. When searching the band, the operator does not have to rely only on gradual tuning and listening.
Spectral display is suitable for quick orientation in signal activity, but it is not a substitute for a measuring spectrum analyzer. In the case of weak signals or strong local interference, the result must be verified by listening and tuning the receiver. An independent video review of Paľa OM0ET also provides a practical demonstration of control, SSB reception and measurement of broadcast power:
Programming via Bluetooth and channel memory

The GS-10B Pro allows programming with the Walkie Talkie Tool app for Android and iOS. After Bluetooth is activated, frequencies, memory channels and related settings can be managed without a computer or programming cable. This option is useful when traveling or during field activation when you need to quickly edit a list of transponders or simplex frequencies.
The station offers 999 memory channels for VHF/UHF. The reception of radio and HF modes has its own, significantly smaller memory capacities. Classic CPS software for Windows and programming via a compatible cable are also available. An independent review notes that the mobile app is functional but not always convenient for more extensive channel editing. Therefore, with a larger list of frequencies, it may be more practical to prepare the settings on a computer.
Power supply and field use
Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion battery with a voltage of 7.4 V and a capacity of 2500 mAh, i.e. approximately 18.5 Wh. Charging takes place via the USB-C connector located on the battery block. This makes charging easier when traveling, but the manual says to use a power supply with a voltage of no more than 5V; The battery does not support USB Power Delivery. When broadcasting at the highest power, higher consumption and shorter duration must be expected.
The dimensions without the antenna but with the battery are approximately 60 × 130 × 45 mm and the weight is 270 g. It is therefore a portable device suitable for everyday wear or trips. However, the manufacturer's available documentation does not mention water and dust resistance certification or a built-in GPS receiver. Therefore, the station cannot be considered GPS-equipped or certified waterproof; caution is advised when using in the rain.

Who is the GS-10B Pro relevant to?
Radioddity GS-10B Pro is interesting especially for the user who wants one handheld station for communication in the VHF/UHF bands and at the same time occasionally listening to short waves. Spectral display, separate HF antenna input and wireless programming distinguish this model from simple dual-band hands.
Nie je to náhrada plnohodnotného KV transceivera, a double receiver or a durable outdoor station with declared protection against water. It is worth checking the gain setting before evaluating the HF reception LNA: nezávislá recenzia upozorňuje, že pri príliš vysokej hodnote môže byť prijímač prebudený a zahltený šumom. Zníženie zisku alebo použitie AGC môže výrazne zlepšiť posluch. Pri cene približne 70 USD uvedenej na manufacturer's website it is an interesting addition to radio amateur equipment, especially for those who appreciate the wide reception possibilities in a compact device.
