Change of SSB League conditions
In January 2014 the organizer announced a survey regarding the proposed changes to the SSBL conditions. E-mail addresses collected from reports from the year were used to contact active race participants 2013. At the same time, it was also possible to participate through a publicly accessible discussion forum on the SSBL website.
They were announced in the survey 3 proposals to change the conditions:
1. Canceling regulation of the frequency segment by the organizer
2. Limiting the number of rounds to the year-round evaluation
3. Shortening the race
According to the results of the survey, suggestions 2 a 3 they do not have clear support, the poll ended in a tie on these points.
However, the proposal 1 was supported by the overwhelming majority of participants. With regard to it regarding to it, that canceling band regulation has no direct effect on the results achieved, the organizer decided to change the conditions of the race from the second half of this year, i.e. from the July round 2014..
Since July 2014 will have a point “Zone” the following wording:
"Zone: 80 m. The use of frequencies must be in accordance with the IARU REGION frequency table 1 HF BAND PLAN and local regulations for telecommunications and amateur radio communication service..
It is up to each SSBL participant, at his discretion and honor, whether it will broadcast on frequencies designated for other types of traffic than SSB racing traffic, e.g. on frequencies 3600-3620 kHz determined according to IARU REGION 1 HF BAND PLAN for digital modes of operation; or whether it will use QRO on the QRP calling frequency (3690 kHz) and in its immediate vicinity.'
Other points of the race conditions remain unchanged.
