VQ9LA – CHAGOS IS.

In the current period of minimum electromagnetic wave propagation, higher bands are almost unusable. I listened to the 160m band last night, where on the frequency 1,814 MHz gave a challenge VQ9LA. After a short call, Larry answered me.

I use tcvr KENWOOD TS-870S and an antenna grounded vertical loop about 86m long, which I operate in all bands. The antenna is mounted about 12m above the ground, which is not enough for DX connections on the 160m band.
