Connection of ICOM radio station programmer
There are several benefits to connecting a radio to a computer. In the case of professional radio stations, this is a necessity, if we need to change the radio station settings. We used the described programmer when setting up the ICOM IC F11, which is just such a type of radio station. Needless to say, that this radio station does not have much to offer. However, the parameters say something else, operating software and finally the properties themselves in operation.
The programmer is connected from the side with a 3.5" jack connector, while only two terminals are used - GND and program (middle ring, not the tip of the connector). The computer must be equipped with a serial COM port, otherwise a USB to COM converter is required.
Connection is very simple, it is actually a voltage converter. The power supply is from the COM port. When connected correctly, it works the first time it is connected. You can download software for ICOM IC F11 .: YOUR :.
