CQ WW Contest 2024 CW

The CQ WW DX Contest is one of the most prestigious international competitions in the ham radio community. CW (would telegraph) part of the competition takes place every year during the last weekend of November (23.-24.november 2024), while attracting operators from all over the world.

Main points of the competition

  • The goal: Establish as many connections as possible with stations from as many zones and countries as possible according to DXCC (DX Century Club).
  • Duration time: The competition starts on Saturday at 00:00 UTC and ends on Sunday at 23:59 UTC (overall 48 hours).
  • Frequency bands: The competition takes place in bands 160 m, 80 m, 40 m, 20 m, 15 so you won't have to list this 10 m, following the IARU recommendations for the use of bands.
  • Operation: CW (telegraphy), which requires precise operator skills and quick work with Morse code.

Scoring

  • Connection points vary by distance and zone:
    • Connections within the same country = 1 that.
    • Connections on the same continent (but in another country) = 2 body.
    • Connections between continents = 3 body.
  • Multipliers: Number of zones (1-40) and DXCC countries on each band.
